I have more than 30 years’ experience as a Clinical Psychologist and have worked in an alcohol rehabilitation centre, in a medico-legal practice as a Clinical Neuropsychologist, and in public mental health settings as well as in my own private practice. Despite a thorough grounding in CBT, ACT and Mindfulness-based approaches, I recognized the need for enhanced skills to effectively address the needs of the numerous traumatized clients within my practice. I trained in EMDR in 2016 and I have maintained a very keen interest in this transformative therapy ever since. I have a passion for providing safe, supportive supervision and consultation and for developing expertise through deliberate practice.

Services

I provide both individual and group consultation for mental health clinicians.

If you are a full time student. working full time in charity or not-for-profit roles, or supporting clients with lower income, please contact me about the possibility of reduced rates.

Consultation to complete your EMDR basic training.

After you have completed your Basic EMDR Training program, 10 hours of consultation with an EMDRAA Accredited Consultant are required to attain full EMDRAA membership.

Group Sessions

If you have a group of 2 or more, we can arrange a group consultation - maximum 4 per group.

Cost: $240 (incl. GST) per hour (divisible by number in group - e.g. 4 person group =$60 each incl. GST )

Individual Consultation

1 hour individual 1:1 consultation/supervision
Cost: $210 (incl. GST) per hour.

EMDRAA Accredited Practitioner pathway

To gain accreditation as an EMDRAA Practitioner you need to have completed a recognized EMDRAA training, have had at least 1 year's clinical experience using EMDR, have completed at least 50 EMDR sessions, and have treated at least 25 different clients. You also need to have at least 10 hours of consultation (including 5 individual sessions).

If you have a group of 2 or more, we can arrange a group consultation. Each participant must have 30 minutes, so group minimum length is no. of participants X 30 minutes.
Cost: $240 per hour (divisible by number in group - e.g. 4 person group =$60 each).
These groups can also be attended by Consultants-in-Training who wish to develop their group consultation skills.

Individual Consultation

One hour individual 1:1 consultation.
Cost: $210 (incl. GST) per hour.

EMDRAA Accredited Consultant Pathway

To apply for accreditation as a consultant, you need to be an accredited practitioner and have completed 20 hours of consultation (minimum10 hours individual) since gaining your practitioner accreditation. You also need to have completed at least 300 EMDR sessions, treated a minimum of 75 clients and demonstrate competency in both your provision of consultation and your clinical work.
